Lost Vikings: A Digital Story

One of the classes I took at Drexel this past term was Storytelling, which was a blast, if not a bit challenging for someone that has a fear of public speaking. Digital storytelling is something that I'm already a bit familiar with, having done a few videos now in the Let's Go Retro series (with more coming soon!) and so for my digital storytelling project, I made a video which definitely has the vibe of…

Retro Game Hunting!

This week I decided to hit up a local retro gaming shop that I like to frequent, Next Level games, and see if anything new and exciting had come in. I ended up with a few things I bought out of curiosity, and one cool import find that I can’t wait to try out!  So here we have, from left to right, The Faery Tale Adventures, Instruments of Chaos starring Young Indiana Jones, and Teenage…

Let's Go Retro! - Ghost Manor

It's time for another Let's Go Retro! This time I visited a little-known game called Ghost Manor. It featured four levels and a frustrating Dracula boss that just...walks towards you. This video was pretty fun to make, I decided to get a little silly with the ending, acting like playing an old game was like going back to an old flame. Let's Go Retro! - Music Machine for Atari 2600

I'm thinking this video feature will focus mainly on retro games and the occasional import game as well. Comments will be greatly appreciated as I'm looking forward to seeing what people think of this,…

Weekend Retro Buys

I indulged in a little retro shopping spree over the weekend. Beauty and the Beast looks like it's never been played, it's in perfect condition. I'm interested in seeing how that game plays. It's made by Hudson, which seems an odd pick for this type of game. I guess I think Hudson and I immediately think of Bomberman and Adventure Island. Next we've got Animaniacs for the Genesis. I'm guessing this is the same…

Aladdin Vs Aladdin

Recently I purchased a Sega Genesis from a local used game shop so I could finally play some of the games that as a kid were denied to me and my Super Nintendo lifestyle. For the most part I’ve played many of the games I looked at with quiet longing when there were released on the PS2 and PS3 as part of the Sega Genesis Collection and Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection, respectively. I’ve long ago…
