Halloween VGM: Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 2 is my favorite of the “classic” style of Resident Evil games, and I know I’m not alone as many people still claim the series was at its best with RE2. The earlier games had a great sense of the classic B-movie frights of being trapped in a spooky house (or in the case of RE2, a spooky police headquarters) with the undead. This particular track, simply called The Front Hall, is probably the most well remembered song in RE2, not only because the song is pretty haunting, but also because you were probably going to go through the main hall several times throughout your game, so you’d hear this song quite a lot by the end.
I had this game on the N64 back in the day and sadly sold it long ago so I haven’t been back to this game in quite a while, though I still remember it fondly.
