DS Lite essentials

So the DS Lite launch has come and gone. And in the midst of the launch is a lot of third party crap that is supposed to "enhance" your playing enjoyment. However, I've find two items in particular to be absolutely invaluble when playing on my DS, and I highly encourage everyone out there who wants a complete experience to give these a consideration:

NuShield Screen Protectors

These are the screen protectors you've been looking for since the first DS launched. The first big difference you might notice is that these screen protectors are made from a company that only deals with protecting screens, like PDAs and such, instead of someone like MadCatz (shudder). These screens are a bit longer than the DS screen, so the sides actually slide *behind* the casing! There they don't move, and there's no need for any sticky residue on your screens, so no air bubbles! Never worry about scratching your screen again. Twelve dollars gets you a pack of 3.

I should point out that I'm not positive these screen protectors will work on the DS Lite, and it doesn't make mention of it on the website. It looks like it will, though, and I've emailed NuShields so hopefully we'll find out soon.

PDA Panache Pro Stylus

This one is a little less on the necessary side, but not only does it look good, it feels much better than even the new DS Lite stylus. The link above takes you to the version for the original DS, with a notice at the bottom that the Lite version is coming soon. Made of brass with a grey finish, it's amazingly weighted and feels great during gameplay. It has a rubber tip which is much more responsive than the tip on the pack-in. It sound strange to say, but you can instantly feel the difference, and you'll love it. I can't wait for the Lite version to become available. The old DS stylus goes for fifteen dollars.

So there you have it, two products in which you'll definitely get your money's worth over the years. Do yourself a favor and get these as soon as possible
